Laszlo realises a werewolf has urinated on one of his topiary designs and leaves a trap outside. Arjan, the leader of a werewolf pack, gets caught in it, so Laszlo, Nandor and Nadja bring him inside and he reverts back to human form. He threatens them and leaps out of the window.
The vampires and werewolves decide to face each other on the roof of an abandoned Circuit City store. Nandor is chosen to face off against Toby, the largest werewolf of the pack. Toby transforms by merely imagining a full moon, but Nandor defeats him by throwing a squeaky bone toy off the roof, which Toby jumps after. The vampires fly away, leaving a frightened Guillermo at the scene, but the werewolves leave him alone to look after Toby.
Werewolves are introduced early in What We Do In The Shadows: they debuted in season 1, episode 3's 'Werewolf Feud.' In the episode, Lazlo is enraged to find werewolves have urinated on his topiary garden, sparking an investigation with shades of What We Do In The Shadows' spinoff, Wellington Paranormal. Nandor settles the feud by besting the werewolf leader in combat, but it seems the vampires have found a new arena to compete with the local Lycans: Kickball. Lazlo is shown hitting the ball at a werewolf with incredible force in the season 3 trailer, so it is likely there will be an episodes' worth of supernatural sporting shenanigans to enjoy.
We begin the episode with Laszlo showing us his bush collection. From a prized rabbit through to a replica of Nadja, he proudly shows off his collection before noticing a werewolf has sprayed nearby. Repulsed, he hurries off to tell the others. At this point, Nandor offers us a brief background on the truce that exists between vampire and werewolf kind. Concerned this may be under jeopardy, the vampires band together to find the wolves.
Back at the lab, Greg and Sara determine that Michael was likely killed with an axe or a hatchet, prompting Langston and Nick to pay a visit to the vampire and werewolf convention at the hotel. They come across an armory dealer who has a wide variety of weapons for sale, including an axe. Langston and Nick take it back to the lab, where they try whacking away at several dummies, noting the copious amounts of blood on their clothes as they do so. They decapitate the dummy with 16 whacks; Doc Robbins' report stated that Michael was struck no less than 18 times. Langston looks at photos of Michael's skull, seeing that he was hit from all sides. The CSIs envision two attackers, with one standing on each side of the fence.
Langston and Sara process the handle of the axe used to kill Michael and find an impression on it from a Celtic knot ring that's identical to Julie's engagement ring. Under interrogation, Julie tells Catherine and Langston that Thomas called them to Mount Charleston for a "pre-wedding ritual." However, upon arriving, Thomas forced Michael to give up his contact lenses and fangs, while the wolf pack emerged from behind the trees. Michael ran, but was eventually captured and tied to the barb wire fence. Kurt showed Julie that Michael used to be a werewolf, and Thomas forced her to choose a side. Feeling betrayed that Michael lied to her, she took the axe and decapitated him. After she confesses to her crimes, they tell her that if she testifies against Kurt and Thomas, she would be able to avoid the death penalty. 781b155fdc
